Prepare the TIG workpiece brief
Provide the joint drawings and project material requirements for the TIG equipment enquiry. Describe the purchaser acceptance requirements and identify the joints that need equipment review, keeping occasional tasks separate from recurring production requirements.
Attach photographs where the drawings leave joint access unclear. Ask the supplier which additional workpiece information is needed to propose an equipment configuration, and identify the project welding documents your responsible specialist will use to review that response.
Identify the torch and controls
Request the torch designation and an accessory schedule for the proposed TIG package. Ask for the connection drawing and identify any existing torch or control accessory your project intends to retain rather than replace.
Send identification photographs and the available connector documents for retained accessories. Request a written response identifying the proposed mating connections, and ask your responsible specialist to review any interface question before approving a combination of existing and newly proposed assemblies.
Request the equipment declarations
Ask for the input declaration and rating sheet associated with the exact equipment being quoted. Request the stated conditions accompanying the output information your project reviewer needs, keeping that information attached to its equipment designation and document revision.
Provide the workshop supply statement for review by your project electrical specialist. Ask the supplier to identify which equipment documents describe the proposed connection and to clarify any discrepancy between the input declaration and the quotation configuration.
Set the TIG sample and quotation scope
Describe any requested TIG sample using the joint drawing and purchaser acceptance description. Ask the supplier to identify the proposed equipment, torch and accessories associated with that sample so the sample scope can be compared with the quotation.
Request separate identification of optional equipment and accessories. Ask for written warranty terms and the associated document package, confirm minimum order quantity and lead time before ordering, and request packaging and delivery terms for the proposed TIG package.
