List the processes your project requests
Prepare a task list identifying the welding processes your project wants considered in the multi process equipment enquiry. Link each requested process to its workpiece drawing and acceptance description, and distinguish required tasks from options you would like quoted separately.
Ask the supplier to identify which proposed configuration addresses each task. Request clarification where the response uses a general equipment designation without stating the process scope, and keep unresolved process requirements separate from the equipment items already described in the quotation.
Request a process by process accessory schedule
Ask for an accessory schedule against each requested welding process. Request the torch, feeder, holder, control and connection references relevant to the supplier proposal, and ask which items are included with the equipment rather than separately quoted.
Identify any existing accessories your project intends to retain and attach their documents. Ask for the corresponding interface drawings, and request a written explanation of any accessory changes proposed when the requested process changes within the equipment package.
Separate the rating documents
Request the equipment declarations and rating information associated with each process in the proposal. Ask the supplier to identify the applicable configuration and stated rating conditions, keeping different process responses separate in the document register.
Provide the workshop supply information your project specialist needs for the input review. Ask for clarification where a declaration or rating sheet identifies a process or configuration different from the one named in the quotation attachment.
Define the multi process sample review
Prepare a sample request for each required process using the relevant workpiece drawing and purchaser acceptance description. Ask the supplier to identify the equipment and accessories proposed for each sample, and request separate records where the sample scopes differ.
Compare the final inclusion schedule with the task list before approving the quotation. Ask for written warranty terms, confirm minimum order quantity and lead time before ordering, and request packaging and delivery terms for the combined equipment package.
